Brussels residents, musicians for over 20 years and lifelong friends, Phil, Chom and Alex unite on stage and in the studio under the banner The Klets.

In the purest tradition of the D.I.Y., the trio took the time to experiment, to refine their tracks, and offered themselves the pleasure of collaborating with a bunch of artists to produce their new EP. We find in particular Raph STARK on drums (Aprile, Food for ya soul), Charlotte DANHIER on cello (Agnes Obel, Balimurphy) or Jean-Yves LONTIE on violin (Fugu Mango).

The result : VAKARM, an analog and independant EP, a work in symbiosis where all the actors were able to trust each other’s talent. VAKARM, a word to define a questioning of content and form, a word which illustrates the band’s musical evolution, the raw energy, the chaos, in short, a word that sweats rock’n’roll !

We discover direct et dynamic tracks to which the band has accustomed us, but also mid-tempo with gospel accents, a modern post-rock adventure, or even a trilingual rock / rap encounter 100% from Belgium. Failure, suffering, descent into hell but also love relationships, unity and tolerance, are some of the themes tackled in this new opus.

After a 1st album, a victory in the Emergenza 2018 contest and a 2019 Octave de la Musique, The Klets is back with VAKARM, waiting to be able to defend it live as soon as possible.

Bruxellois depuis toujours, musiciens depuis plus de 20 ans et amis pour la vie, Phil, Chom et Alex s’unissent sur scène et en studio sous la bannière The Klets.

Dans la plus pure tradition du D.I.Y., le trio a pris le temps d’expérimenter, de peaufiner ses morceaux, et s’est offert le plaisir de collaborer avec une brochette d’artistes pour produire son nouvel EP. On y retrouve notamment Raph STARK à la batterie (Aprile, Food for ya soul), Charlotte DANHIER au violoncelle (Agnes Obel, Balimurphy) ou encore Jean-Yves LONTIE au violon (Fugu Mango).

Le résultat : VAKARM, un EP analogique et indépendant , un travail en symbiose où tous les acteurs ont su faire confiance au talent de chacun. VAKARM, un mot pour définir une remise en question du fond et de la forme, un mot qui illustre l’évolution musicale du groupe, l’énergie brute, le chaos, bref, un mot qui transpire le rock’n’roll !

On y découvre des morceaux directs et dynamiques auxquels le groupe nous a habitué, mais aussi du mid-tempo aux accents gospel, une aventure post-rock moderne, ou encore une rencontre rock/rap trilingue 100% belge. Echec, souffrance, descente aux enfers mais aussi relations amoureuses, unité et tolérance, sont quelques-uns des thèmes abordés dans ce nouvel opus.

Après un 1er album, une victoire au concours Emergenza 2018 et un Octave de la musique 2019, The Klets est de retour avec VAKARM, en attendant de pouvoir le défendre en live dès que possible.
